Over the last week or the boys have been getting over a nasty little virus. Nap & bedtime schedules got out of whack and all the progress we made with transition from bottles to sippy cups seemed to go out the window when they got sick. Slowly we are starting to get back to normal around here.
Thankfully the boys have been doing really great since Wednesday of last week…no more fevers or feeling blah.
Yet for the last 4 days the boys have been consistently and annoyingly been getting up in the middle of the night and staying up for at least 2 hours.
Usually it’s one or the other getting up but last night it was BOTH of them. Last night’s episode was not as intense as some other nights but nonetheless my husband and I are baffled as to the reason.
Two nights ago one of the boys threw a HUGE crying fit and was incosolable for at least 30 minutes. Am I dealing with remanants of his sickness???? I have no idea.
He thrashed around like he was in pain but it was hard to tell what exactly was hurting him. Right now they are teething and they actually have 8 teeth coming in at the same time! YES, I said 8 teeth. Looks like most of those little teethers have broke through their gums. Do babies react that out of control with teething pain? I have no reference for this so I am just guessing.
When they’re just getting up out of the blue for no apparent reason do I let them cry it out? How do I manage it if one’s asleep? Have you had any crazy nights with your kids when you have no idea why they awake or upset? Thanks for any advice! This mom needs it!
