2010 is almost coming to a close….didn’t this year go by fast? It seemed like the year zipped by and I can see in the photo album of my mind all the awesome milestones, growth, struggles, and wonderful memories like it was yesterday.
What is incredible is how the boys grew so much in the last year. To think that a year ago at this time my boys were only 8 months old…little babies. Now those little infants have metamorphised into two amazing toddlers. Yes, there have been challenges and continue to be but these little guys are teaching me a thing or two about life.
GROWTH IN GENERAL
I was reading through some old journals and text messages I had and realized that a year ago I was till very much adjusting to having twins and to being a mommy. God has helped me sooo much and given me continued stamina, strength and patience (well, sometimes I lack in that area) to be the mom He called me to be.
DREAMS NURTURED & REALIZED
This year I was able to start an online business that I am super excited about. I have always loved graphic design and this year has been the realization of that dream and it’s starting to take shape and grow.
My husband has kept his music on the back burner but is now realizing that it’s a deep part of him that he wants to be able to express on a larger level. We’ve taken some baby steps in getting his dream realized and we are so excited for what God has in this area.
FINDING A CHURCH FAMILY
Our little family is becoming more connected to our new home church and we are so aware that God led us there. It takes time to build relationships/friendships so we are still “newbies” in a sense. Yet we know it’s the place for us and we are excited to get more plugged in and find our place there.
It was about a year ago that I started this blog and began using it as an outlet to voice my frustrations, joys, experiences and struggles about raising twins and being a SAHM. This blog has been such a great vehicle in “meeting other moms and finding encouragement- it’s continues to be a great outlet for me. For 2011 and beyond I hope that this blog can evolve into being a resource for encouragement to new moms of multiples.
I love having family that is there for each other through the joyful, difficult and tragic times of life. My family is incredible and we are blessed to have them in our lives! Our family was there for us when the boys were born and continue to be there for us. Through it all we are so thankful to not have to go through life alone.
How has your year gone? What stands out for you?
