We had a great time visiting family for Thanksgiving. The traveling part isn’t always my favorite but all in all it went well.
Thankfully the boys slept almost the entire time on our way to my parents (about 3 hours!) but when it was time for bed they didn’t wind down until about 2:30 a.m. Needless to say I napped as much as I could over the weekend.
The older I get the more I realize that having it’s important for me to choose to be positive when things don’t go according to plan or as smoothly as I’d like them to go. Even on this trip I had a plan that we would leave at a certain time etc, etc, and well, it didn’t work out that way.
My husband is super laid back and easy going about things so he helps balance things out when I start getting uptight over the small stuff.
I even had a situation occur right before leaving on our trip and I knew I had to make the choice not let it ruin our Thanksgiving trip to my parents. Again my husband helped me with some perspective and I knew that I needed to follow his advice.
Now that we’re back home I am excited to gear up towards Christmas and enjoy this awesome season. With God’s help I hope to not sweat the small stuff and walk in a positive and thankful attitude.
