Been thinking about how much I love & value my BIG family! Our family recently had our Uncle Freddie pass away and with that you realize how important each family member is and how we are not promised tomorrow.
My uncle freddie was 75 years young. Nowadays my idea of what is old changes with each year that my parents turn a year older.
I remember being a kid and thinking how old 30 sounded! Back then it was unfathomable to me what 30 would be like and especially what things would be like in the year 2000!
It’s so funny how we think when we’re kids!
My parents are getting older and I am amazed at how great they look at their age. Mom is turning 78 on the 22nd and dad is turning 80 years old in May.
They’ve had av couple health scares this year already, so it gets me thinking about life and how much I value my parents presence in my life. Mom is the one that I chat with on the phone alot…she’s the talker. Dad is a man of few words but when we do chat he always wants to know how Aaron, the boys and I are doing.
I know there will be someday, when my mom and dad’s comforting voice or presence won’t be around anymore. I do not look forward to that day, but I do value each and every moment that I still have with them. I’m thankful for the Godly influence my parents have had in my life. Their love, prayers and support have impacted my life so deeply.
