|Aaron and his mom Judy- Arkansas Nov. 2012|
Last night was one of the worst nights of our lives…my precious mother in law Judy was unexpectedly taken from us and left this world as we know it.
How do you even begin to process a loss so profound? If you ever met Judy you would know the incredible woman she was, so loving, always giving, constant friend, gracious listener, mighty intercessor, and amazingly compassionate.
I met this awesome lady in 2003 two-weeks after Aaron and I started dating. Judy and Roger were soooo excited that their son was finally dating someone (Aaron’s words !). Little did I know this sweet lady would one day be my mother-in-law.
One thing that was precious to Judy was her family….there was no denying that. She absolutely loved and adored her family. She was an incredible wife to Roger, selfless and completely unconditional love when it came to her kids and grandkids.
She was a listening and caring ear for anyone who opened up to her. A true gift indeed.
So many people have written on our Facebook Wall that Judy was a “second mama” to them. So many have written that. It’s a testimony to the loving and caring person that Judy Barber was.
Mom we’re gonna miss you, this loss is almost unbearable but we know you are safe in our Savior’s hands. We grieve that your grandsons will not grow up to be around their grandma Judy, we grieve the loss of having your in our lives, we grieve that we will not have your phone calls to hear your voice, and we grieve for our dad Roger who will not have his precious Judy to care for him.
Lord help us as we grieve, help it to not swallow us up. Your words says weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning. Please fill us with your peace, joy, and warm memories of our Judy. We need you Abba! Hold our family close to your heart we pray.
