I met my Valentine 10 years ago…if you had told me that he was going to be the man that I would marry someday I most likely would not have believed you.
After two years of being just friends this wonderful guy who I loved hanging around one day told me that he had feelings for me. I was blown away! Now the reasons I wouldn’t have figured Aaron was because he was my employee (big no-no) and he was several years younger than me (ok maybe just a few years younger than me….like 6 years).
All I know is that I ended up marrying the man I believe God created just for me.
There were a few main things I asked God for in the man that I would marry someday….
1. Great Sense of Humor
2. Comes from a good family
3. Someone who would sing to me.
4. Someone who I had an established friendship with (before anything romantic)
(being a christian was a given for me.)
I definitely got all Four of these things in Aaron.
I can’t even tell you how many times Aaron’s laid back personality and sense of humor has helped me to chill out over the last few years! He and I are really different in our personalities…not that I am humorless and rigid. I am just more organized and an analyzer but I do love to laugh!
My valentine is musical….boy is he musical! This boy was doubly blessed in this area.
He is an awesome solo pianist, and so gifted in other instruments. I especially love when he leads worship at our church. He is a man with unreserved passion for life and a bubbling joy that spreads across his face whenever you see him. You can see it when he talks to you, when he’s with our kids, when he’s playing his music and when he talks about God.
He’s a giver in so many ways but the most important thing is he believes in me and makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.
I am indeed blessed in so many ways and am so glad that Aaron Barber is my forever Valentine!
