When we started our homeschooling journey in August of 2018, we chose to go through a local charter school here in our city. Personally, it has been great for me to have a sense of direction and help from our Charter School as I endeavored to start this new journey in my kids education.
Through our Charter School we have assigned resource teachers that answer questions and give helpful tips on how to help me teach certain subjects. The best part of homeschooling for me is the ability to adjust curriculum and present things in a fun and interesting way for my boys. There are times when the curriculum from the charter school may be a little over my boys heads so I can easily go online to find resources that will help me teach these concepts more clearly.
Here are a list of some great online resources for homeschooling parents that I have found to be so helpful in my teaching journey. These resources make my life so much easier as I work on lesson plans and try to come up with things that will help ignite a love for learning in my children. Let know if you’ve heard of any of these sites in the comments or of places you would recommend:
